Eichin rejects playoff graft
Cologne - More than 15,000 fans on Sunday in the Cologne Arena. The Sharks take on Mannheim (14.30 clock). This is playoff feeling pure, even if it's the quarter-finals until the 18th March start. But in the last few games of the main round is hot here in the battle for playoff situations. And since the game on Sunday is of particular sensitivity.
Sharks coach Doug Mason: "I think this is a foretaste onto quarter-finals. If everything is running normally, we might encounter Mannheim. "Uh-oh! The Master threatens the people of Cologne in the first playoff round. With the highest budget, the Eagles are indeed slow start to the season, but now once again top favorite.
The table will probably end up in Cologne in third place. In the quarterfinals, then hit the sixth. Still, the Iserlohn. Mason: "But still have three easy home games. I think they climb to fifth place. "And could Mannheim slide to sixth place with three wins. The eagles have ran on Sunday in Cologne, then play in Berlin and against Krefeld.
Give the sharks from the game on Sunday as helping to Mannheim in the battle for fifth place and so they go in the quarter out of the way? KEC's Managing Director Thomas Eichin says no: "We must find playoff form, that can only happen when you hit enemies such as Mannheim. Once you've started at this stage any tactical games, you can only lose. If you want to be champion, you have to beat in the playoffs before everyone. "
